Racing ideal place for 'tire'd folks

The roar of stock car engines, the thrill of open-wheel sprint cars and the excitement of motocross all will be available this summer at Twin City Raceway.

The Kenai Peninsula Racing Lions have scheduled a full slate of events at the raceway, which is located on Shotgun Drive, across from Beaver Loop at Mile 6.5 of the Kenai Spur Highway in Kenai.

Stock car racing takes place on the three-eighths mile dirt oval, with a pair of Sprint Car Invitational races added to the weekly Late Model, A-Stock and B-Stock races.

Motocross returns for its second season on the Twin City layout, with six city races as well as two weekends of state races on the schedule.
