Proper prom attire thanks to you

"If it wasn't for this, I wouldn't be able to go to prom."

Those tearful and heartfelt words I was recently told during Cinderella's Closet. This program is where we collect gently used prom dresses, shoes and accessories for area high school students in need.

This year, we provided 38 students with items. These ladies were from all of our central peninsula high schools. A special thank you to Kenai Performers/Curtain Call Consignment and the Kenai United Methodist Church for collecting items to donate. To the students and staff at Nikiski, Skyview, Soldotna, Kenai and Kenai Alternative High Schools for passing on information about this program. To the Soldotna High School Student Council members for organizing and distributing items. Finally, to our community for all of your generous donations.

Items for Cinderella's Closet 2012 are being collected now at the Soldotna High School main office. Let's help make memories for more of our area teens!
