Oilers Corner: Oilers sign 3 more

Reese McGraw, Mark Winkelman and Michael Ellis have signed with the Peninsula Oilers for the 2011 season, the club announced this week.

McGraw, who is 6-foot-4 and 210 pounds, is a right-handed junior pitcher at Creighton University. He is 3-1 with four saves and a 3.50 ERA in 18 innings pitched. He is from Boulder, Colo.

Winkelman, a left-handed sophomore, also attends Creighton. The 6-3, 220-pounder boasts a 3.38 ERA in 22 appearances, tallying one save in 26 2/3 innings.

Meanwhile, Ellis is a right-handed freshman who attends Florida International University. At 6-1 and 180 pounds, Ellis was selected in the by the San Diego Padres in the 35th round of the 2010 Major League Baseball Draft. He also played for the U18 Canadian National Team from 2008-10. With a 6.75 ERA in six appearances, Ellis has logged 12 innings. He is from Surrey, British Columbia.
