Relay for Life meeting planned

A meeting for Relay for Life team captains will be held at 6:30 p.m. today in the Iliamna room at Central Peninsula General Hospital. For more information or to pick up a team captain packet, call Corbi Aaronson at 262-7711.

Drug speech canceled

A speech scheduled for 7 p.m. today at the Soldotna Church of God by David Story, an international drug and alcohol speaker, has been canceled. For more information, call 252-4418.

Warner to speak at North chamber

Julie Warner of the American Cancer Society will be the guest speaker at Thursday's noon meeting of the North Peninsula Chamber of Commerce. The meeting will be held at the North Kenai Baptist church, and the public is welcome to attend. For more information, call 776-3250.

Builders association to meet

The Kenai Peninsula Builders Association will hold its April meeting at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at Mykel's restaurant in Soldotna. Guest speaker will be Dan Fauske, CEO of Alaska Housing Finance Corporation. For more information, call 283-8071.

Sportsmen's banquet slated

Lt. Gov. Loren Leman is the featured guest at the sportsmen's banquet at 6:30 p.m. Friday at Peninsula Christian Center. Tickets are $10, and space is limited. This annual event celebrates hunting, fishing and wilderness activities in Alaska and around the world. Other featured guests include Ted Spraker and Robin West. Bed and breakfast group to meet

The Kenai Peninsula Bed and Breakfast Association will meet at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Diamond M Ranch Bed and Breakfast. The public is welcome to attend. For more information, call 283-9424.

Long-term care seminar planned

Food reimbursement available

Any family day-care home providers interested in information about how to be reimbursed for food costs may call the Child Care Food Program, an office of the Kenai Women's Resource and Crisis Center, at 283-4707.

Host families needed

Cultural Homestay International is seeking host families to host exchange students from Germany, Spain, Mexico, Belgium and Brazil.
