Redoubt Elementary

The site council will meet at 3:45 p.m. Thursday in the conference room.

Volunteers are invited to a luncheon in their honor between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. May 2 in the school lounge.

Yearbooks are on sale for $20 and will arrive May 19.

All library books are due May 9.

Three volunteers are needed to help with library inventory in May. No experience is necessary and lunch will be provided. To sign up, call Miss Cox at 262-9006.

The Redoubt Chess Club meets from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. every Thursday in Mrs. Romberg's room. All ages and levels are welcome. Students must arrange their own transportation home at 4:30.

Redoubt is offering a $500 scholarship to a 2003 graduating senior from a local high school. Applications are available at high school counseling offices or at Redoubt. The application deadline is April 30.

The Future Problem Solvers team of Mark Youngren, Dillon Ball, Stryker McLane and Blaine Carver placed fourth in the state competition. Hannah Romberg placed first in the individual competition and is eligible to participate in the international competition in Storrs, Conn., in June. All five members competed in the skit competition and placed first.

The first four classes to turn in all preregistration forms were Mrs. St. Onge's third grade, Ms. Walker's second grade, Mrs. Dusek's second grade and Mrs. DeVolld's fifth grade. The classes will receive a prize.
