ANCHORAGE (AP) -- A man was killed early Sunday morning in a vehicle accident near dowtown Anchorage.
Anchorage police did not release the victim's name, pending notification of family.
The man was driving westbound on Fifth Avenue shortly before 7:30 a.m. when he lost control of his pickup truck and flipped it, police said. The man was ejected and killed.
A witness told police the truck flipped several times and the man was thrown about 60 feet. The truck struck three light poles in front of the Alaska Sales and Service car dealership. Seven cars on the lot were damaged in the accident.
