Soldotna resident David Wright died Saturday, April 20, 2002, at his home in Soldotna. He was 30.
Memorial services will be at 4 p.m. Friday at Peninsula Memorial Chapel. Pastor Chuck Thornton will officiate. Mr. Wright's ashes will be buried in California next to his mother.
Mr. Wright was born July 21, 1971, at Huntington Beach, Calif. He moved to Alaska in 1980 and graduated from Kenai High School. He lived in Soldotna and was the assistant manager of Three Bears in Kenai.
Mr. Wright was an avid softball player and loved camping, fishing and hanging out with his friends.
"David was a devoted and loving husband and father. He was a loyal friend with a wry sense of humor who loved to tease," his family said.
Mr. Wright was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Joan Wright.
He is survived by his father, Don Wright of Kenai; his former wife and best friend, Shelley Wright of Soldotna; daughter, Nicole Tromblee of Soldotna; and grandmother, Hanna Wright of Hemet, Calif.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Alaska USA Federal Credit Union account No. 382080.
