Jean Carol White
Longtime Nikiski resident Jean Carol White died Tuesday, April 19, 2005, from pancreatic cancer at Central Peninsula General Hospital. She was 73.
A celebration of life will be held at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 26, at the Soldotna Church of God at the corner of Binkley and Redoubt in Soldotna. Pastor Alan Humphries will officiate.
Mrs. White was born Nov. 11, 1932, in Wibaux, Mont. Mrs. White met her husband, Gail, in 1955 and they were married Aug. 18, 1956, in Spokane, Wash. She moved to Nikiski in 1967, where she lived and raised her family. She also worked for the family business, G. White and Son Co., as the office manager from 1983 to 2002.
She enjoyed gardening and spending time with her family. Her greatest joy was her grandchildren.
Mrs. White is survived by her husband of 50 years, Gail Sr. of Nikiski; son and daughter-in-law, Gail Jr. and Rhonda White of Nikiski; daughters and sons-in-law, Patty and Bob Day of Nikiski, and Barbara and Terry Landaal of Arizona; daughters, Lois Briggs of Wasilla and Lola Rozell of Seattle; son, Richard Briggs of Wasilla; grandchildren, Gavin, Rachel, Robert, Bob, Becky, Terry II, Patrick, Jeannie, Trisha, Daina, Ronnie, Brandy, Loran, Shawn, Greg, Mandy and Tammie; numerous great-grandchildren; brothers, Bud, Roy and Rob Lynch; and sisters, Donna Durrer and Diane Bjoristad, all of Spokane

Arrangements were made by Peninsula Memorial Chapel in Kenai.
