Brewers fall apart in 15th inning

MONTREAL -- Milwaukee center fielder Alex Sanchez dropped Jose Vidro's two-out liner in the 15th inning to allow the winning run to score and the Montreal Expos beat the Brewers 5-4 Wednesday night.

Braves 4, Diamondbacks 3

ATLANTA -- Henry Blanco singled in the tiebreaking run in the eighth inning and the Atlanta Braves finally beat Arizona at Turner Field.

Dodgers 5, Pirates 1

PITTSBURGH -- Omar Daal held Pittsburgh to one run over six innings and Marquis Grissom drove in two runs as the Dodgers beat the Pirates.

Cardinals 4, Mets 2

NEW YORK -- Pinch-hitter Eduardo Perez broke an eighth-inning tie with a two-run homer off Al Leiter, and St. Louis stopped a five-game losing streak by beating New York Mets.

Padres 7, Phillies 2

PHILADELPHIA -- Tom Lampkin homered, doubled and drove in three runs to spark the Padres over the Philadelphia Phillies.

Astros 7, Marlins 4

MIAMI -- Lance Berkman hit his major league-leading 10th home run, and Roy Oswalt allowed five hits in seven solid innings as the Houston Astros beat the Florida Marlins.

Reds 4, Rockies 3

CINCINNATI -- Juan Encarnacion's two-out single in the bottom of the ninth inning gave the Cincinnati Reds a victory over the Colorado Rockies.

Cubs 10, Giants 4

CHICAGO -- Fred McGriff drove in a season-high four runs and Joe Borowski got his first victory since 1998 as the Cubs beat the Giants.
