Student's apology reflects well on him, his parents

Posted: Friday, April 25, 2003

Reading in the April 17 paper, I was quite impressed with the letter from Matt Travers, Skyview High School senior. It took a lot of courage for Matt to apologize to the people who witnessed his "prank."

I just would like to say to Matt, I was not there to witness the prank that you pulled, but you seem to have reflected on it, and realized what you did was wrong. I applaud you for having the courage to apologize publicly. It took a lot of courage. To your parents, I would like to add, that they are doing something right.

Heidi Dominick, mother of Nikiski High School Student
