The world's leftist agitators love to rail against corporations, delighting in throwing objects through fast-food windows during their occasional violent tirades.
The truth is, corporations are made up of people, the vast majority of which are hard-working and upstanding.
Not to mention innocent.
Such people at Wendy's appear to have been maliciously attacked with a hurtful hoax about a finger in a bowl of chili.
Anna Ayala, the woman who claimed she bit into the finger at a San Jose, Calif., Wendy's on March 22, has now been arrested in the case. Moreover, reports indicate her aborted attempt to sue Wendy's over the incident was not the first time she's gone after a big company, including General Motors.
Was she playing the legal lottery, hoping to score a big settlement or verdict and get a free pass to Easy Street?
If so, it was far from a victimless crime. Sales dipped at Northern California Wendy's restaurants, leading to layoffs and reduced hours i.e., lost jobs and wages for innocent workers.
If this was an attempt at a scam lawsuit, then it's far beyond frivolous it's malicious.
This case turns David and Goliath on its head.
In this instance, our sympathies are squarely with Goliath.
