Longtime Kenai resident Jerry Anderson died Monday, April 19, 2010 at Central Peninsula Hospital in Soldotna with her family by her side. She was 82.
Memorial services will be held this summer in July at the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Kenai with service times to be announced. Mrs. Anderson's cremated remains will be scattered in the Kenai River.
Mrs. Anderson was born Oct. 6, 1927 in Dubuque, Iowa. She graduated from high school in Iowa. Jerry and her husband, Bob, lived in Northern California for nearly 30 years before moving to Kenai in 1978 where they lived for 32 years. She was a homemaker and member of the Kenai Seventh Day Adventist Church.
Mrs. Anderson was preceded in death by her parents, Frank A. Jenkins and Anna Weiland Jenkins; and sister, Doris Jenkins Lindsay.
She is survived by her husband, of Kenai; brother, Frank and his wife, Jo of Chester, California; daughter, Sharon and her husband, Carl of El Cerrito, California; son, Leighton and his wife, Kris of Lake Havasu, Arizona; grandchildren, Brian of Chicago, Michael of Woodstock, Illinois and Becky of Lake Havasu; great-grandchildren, Rylan of Lake Havasu, and Emma of Woodstock; daughter, Kim and her husband, Dave of Fairbanks; grandchildren, Aaron of Bristol, Rhode Island, and Sarah of Long Beach , California; and great-grandchild, Miles, of Long Beach.
Arrangements were made by Peninsula Memorial Chapel.
