Unions should leave Peak alone; it's a good company to work for
The unions are bad-mouthing Peak Oilfield Service Co. telling us how much better off we would be if we belonged to their union -- better pay, better benefits, etc. How can they promise that if we don't have work?
Peak has always treated me fair and would listen to any of my complaints -- which have been few. They pay me good. Benefits are good, and they have a lot of work.
So, unions, leave Peak alone. Leave the workers alone. I have had 20 phone calls and mail for three weeks solid all about how good you are and how bad Peak is.
Back off. I will never vote for your unions.

When you feel your very life is in danger, what should you do?
What are you supposed to do when five men come to your home with a gun and break out the glass in your door? Should you crawl at their feet like a puppy and wait and see if they will kill you?
Maybe the troopers would show up and save you. But if they did they would likely throw you in jail, and then the district attorney would find something to convict you on.

Where's Ballard in new redistricting plan for Senate?
A new Senate seat for North Kenai to include Haines, Skagway, Sitka, etc. doesn't seem right. They left out Ballard. We have more in common with Ballard!
Too bad the same issue included Soldotna's super hero Don Johnson's drivel about his favorite enemy. Tell him I need his address so I can send him a book about how salmon reproduce. He will have to promise not to eat the cover and throw the rest away.
