The Hershey Track and Field Meet will be held May 20 at 9 a.m. If you are interested in attending or volunteering call Rachel Parra at 776-8800. The event will be held at the Nikiski Middle High School track field.

Congratulations to Sandy Miller, who will take on a new job with the school district. Sandy will be the Title l specialist and the Tebughna principal.

Organizations, it's never too early to remember that Family Fun in the Midnight Sun is scheduled for June 18. Booth space is available. Call the Nikiski pool at 776-8800 to reserve your spot.

Did you know that the Cooperative Extension Service celebrated 75 years of service Wednesday?

Redoubt Homemakers were presented a certificate for their service of purchasing the first yellow ambulance for the Nikiski Fire Department in 1971.

Redoubt Homemakers membership today consist of Phedis Stesney, Janice Wilsack, Dorothy Lentz, Neva Black, Joy Carew, Annie Berg, Karen Hinkle, Robin DuPerron and Penny Alberty.

Skateboarders, this message is for you. The skateboard park next to the Nikiski Community Recreation Center will be open May through September from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Skateboarders are required to register at the Nikiski pool. Fees are $10 per person for the season. ID cards will be issued to registered users. Call the Nikiski pool for more information, at 776-8800.
