Students benefit from community’s generosity

Posted: Thursday, April 26, 2007

The Kenai Central High School Academic Banquet was held April 16. There were 150 students honored for achieving a grade point average of 3.5 or greater during the fall semester.

Special thanks go to the Academic Recognition Committee of Alan Fields, Loren Reese, Connie Jung, Tim Delaney and Jon Lillevik. Thank you, as well, to Debbie Sounart and the KCHS jazz band for providing entertainment for the evening. Dr. Scott Innes of Kenai Peninsula Orthopedics presented a wonderfully inspiring speech for the students.

Thank you, also, to Dr. Dennis Swarner of Kenai Vision Center and McDonald’s of Kenai for their generous donations.

We are fortunate to live in a community that so strongly supports the academic endeavors of our students.
