The fifth annual KPBSD Middle School Math Meet, a joint effort between the Kachemak Bay campus of the Kenai Peninsula College and Homer Middle School, offered a challenging math experience to 78 students from seven district schools. A special thanks to the donors of the iPod Touch grand prize: Jay Brant Construction, Coble Geophysics, and Jerry Herring of Central Alaska Engineering.

A huge thanks to judges Beth Graber, Mike Hawfield, Duncan Wanamaker, Eric Fenger, and Karen Weston; proctors Brenda Dolma, Mindy Hunter, Linda Rowe, Ron Downing, Naomi Walsworth; announcer Lisa Callahan, Homer Middle principal, and school board member Liz Downing for volunteering and helping with awards. Congratulations to Kenai Middle student and math wizard Olen Danielson for winning the iPod Touch!
