The Alaska Department of Fish and Game, Division of Sport Fish, will hold its 12th annual Kenai Peninsula Salmon Celebration on May 3 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Johnson Lake State Recreation site in Kasilof. Elementary schoolchildren from the Kenai Peninsula Borough School District will help release hatchery-raised rainbow trout fingerlings into Johnson Lake. The event is also open to the public. The Boys and Girls Club is accepting registrations for World Cup Soccer Camp for ages 6 to 12. Camp will run May 31 to June 3 from 9:30 a.m. -- 12:30 p.m., at the Kenai Middle School soccer fields.
