The Alaska Department of Fish and Game, Division of Sport Fish, will hold its 12th annual Kenai Peninsula Salmon Celebration on May 3 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Johnson Lake State Recreation site in Kasilof. Elementary schoolchildren from the Kenai Peninsula Borough School District will help release hatchery-raised rainbow trout fingerlings into Johnson Lake. The event is also open to the public.
