ANCHORAGE (AP) A 5-year-old Sterling boy suffered a broken leg after he apparently fell out of a moving car and under the rear tire last week.
Alaska State Troopers say the boy was riding with his mother, Christina L. Sipes, 26, in a 1986 Chevrolet Suburban at about 6 p.m. Wednesday.
Sipes was driving out of the Sterling post office when the boy fell out and was run over by the rear tire.
He was transported to a hospital, where he was admitted for treatment and surgery.
Troopers continue to investigate the incident.
