Based on recent studies that show the level of hydrocarbons in the Kenai River exceeded federal standards in July, the Kenai Watershed Forum will hold a community forum from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Kenai River Center.
The Alaska Department of Environmental Conservation, the National Oceanographic and Atmospheric Administration, the U.S. Geological Survey and the Alaska Department of Fish and Game will be represented. The forum will begin with an overview of the issue. Then each of the panel members will speak. Afterward, the forum will be opened for a question-and-answer session.
