The kindergarten classrooms have been studying dinosaurs. Miss Fischer's class also experienced flying kites and discovered how important wind can be.

First-graders are learning how to draw different zoo animals in Ms. Ralston's art class. They started by drawing circles and ovals to create the main parts of animals. Then they went back and rounded out the figures and added the details. The students also are working on creating stories from different animal pictures. A reminder to parents that Thursday is the field trip to the Anchorage Zoo. Students need to be at the school by 6:45 a.m. and be picked up at 7 p.m. The last day for study buddies is May 4.

Volunteers are invited to a luncheon Friday at 11:50 a.m. in the library.

Kindergarten students have the option of attending school full days from Monday to May 13. Parents are reminded to see that the child's teacher has a signed permission slip.

Second-graders going to Mountain View next year will visit the school May 5.

The school carnival will be May 6. Volunteers are needed to work a booth. Also donations of cakes, pies and cookies for the cake walk are need. For more information or to volunteer, call the school.
