Thelma "Renae" Logan, 80, of Story, Wyo., passed away at Sheridan Memorial Hospital on Friday, April 22, 2011.
Renae was born on Nov. 7, 1930, in McVille, N.D., to Thelma Ophaug and Roy W. L. Johnson. She went to school in McVille, graduated from Black Hills State in Spearfish, with a teaching degree. She taught art in Upton, Wyo., or 17 years, then in Soldotna for 18 years before retiring. She married William "Bill" Logan on June 7, 1985. She enjoyed reading, painting and spending time with her family, friends and dogs.
Renae is survived by her husband, Bill, of Story; daughters, Joy Hagen, of Soldotna; Jo Elliott, of Story; Julie Larson, of Soldotna; sons, Joe Logan, of Anchorage; Jerry Logan, Boise, Idaho; sisters Lois Johnson, Newcastle, Wyo.; LuAnn Keifel, of Jamestown, N.D.; 14 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
A Memorial Service for Renae will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, April 28, 2011, at Kane Funeral Home, with Reverend Kevin Jones officiating. A reception will follow at the Story Women's Club following the service.
