Nikiski resident, Mr. James Brian Stutsman, 55, died Saturday, April 23, 2011 from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident.
Memorial services will be held 4 p.m. Thursday, April 28, 2011, at Peninsula Memorial Chapel, 5839 Kenai Spur Hwy. in Kenai. Additional services will be held Monday, May 2, 2011, in Goshen, Ind. His cremated remains will be buried at the West Goshen Cemetery in Goshen.
Mr. Stutsman was born Feb. 3, 1956, in Goshen. He attended Concord High School in Indiana. James moved to Alaska in 2005 where he lived in Nikiski. He worked for Peak Oil Field Service Company even since 2005. Jim loved to fly his airplane, ride his Harley and spend time with friends.
The family wrote, "Jim loved living in Alaska. He was very family oriented and shared his experiences with his sons. He was a wonderful father and friend and an extremely simple man with a great heart with a positive outlook on life. He made lasting friendships wherever he went. He will never be forgotten and will always be loved."
He is survived by his sons, Brian James Stutsman, of Bloomington, Ind.; and Jacob Andrew Stutsman, of Kenai; mother, Katheryn Stutsman, of Goshen, and his father, David Stutsman, of Goshen; brothers, Steve Stutsman, of Elkart, Ind.; Michael Stutsman of Goshen; sister, and Beth Stutsman of Goshen.
