Tech. Sgt. Andrew Elliott showed preschool students from Cook Inlet Academy an Alaska National Guard helicopter Thursday.
Seven air and army guardsmen brought a U.H. 60 Blackhawk helicopter to the school as part of its "Kid Life" anti-drug program. They gave nine teachers and parents an airborne tour from the Kenai Community Airport to the private Christian school in Soldotna, where they wowed the children by landing on the play field.
The guardsmen told the children flying helicopters is fun the kind of fun only sober people can have.
