Boys and Girls Club to offer summer events
The Boys and Girls Club will offer various summer activities including karate, soccer, flag football, guitar lessons, workshops and sports camps. Registration for summer events will be held
Monday through Friday from noon to 6 p.m. at the club. Those interested in registration by fax or mail need to have all information faxed in or postmarked by Friday.

Business workshops scheduled
Entrepreneur's Corner, Sego Consultants and Peninsula Center Mall will host the following workshops:
"Grant Writing Basics," an introduction to finding grants and writing grant proposals will be from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Wednesday. Cost is $40.

Advisory Committee to meet
The Kenai/Soldotna Fish and Game Advisory Committee will meet at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Cook Inlet Aquaculture Building on Kalifornsky Beach Road. The meeting will concern fish and game proposals and possible future regulations. A report on the recent Homer Board of Fisheries and LAMP/S hearings will be the topic of the meeting. Healthy Communities-Healthy People Steering Committee's regular monthly meeting will be on May 10 beginning at 1:30 p.m. at Bridges located at 145 Kasilof St., Soldotna.

KCHS soccer team plans garage, bake sale
The Kenai Central High School soccer team will have a garage and bake sale from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday in front of Kenai Middle School. Donations for the sale may be dropped off at KMS at 6:30 p.m. Friday. Funds raised will be used to purchase uniforms for the players.
SPCA van to visit Nikiski
The Alaska Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals van will visit Nikiski May 17. SPCA offers spay and neutering procedures at a discounted price. The prices are: female dogs, $50; male dogs, $40; female cats, $40; and male cats, $25.

Registrations are now being accepted for the first Kenai Central High School choir reunion being held June 2 for anyone who has sung under the direction of Renee Henderson.
