Tournament bowls over chamber director

Posted: Friday, April 29, 2005

The Kenai Chamber of Commerce's second annual Up Your Alley Bowling Tournament was a lively evening with heavy competition between teams with three heated games.

The winners in game one were: first place, Tyler Distributing Inc.; second place, Waddell and Reed; and in third place, Back Door Lounge. Game two: first place, River City Dental; second place, Waddell and Reed; and third place, Back Door Lounge. Game three: first place, Tyler Distributing Inc.; second place, Waddell and Reed; and third place, River City Dental.

Then the fun games, with "lefty-righty." Chris Blouin of Great Bear Ford won this contest, getting a singing fish; and the bowlers shoot-out was won by Rod Peterkin of Back Door Lounge, who got a clock from HEA and eight KCC glasses.

When the totals were tallied, River City Dental (last year's winner) handed over the traveling trophy to Waddell and Reed and the Red Lantern was awarded to Alyeska Tire.

A big thank you to all of our teams and sponsors: Alyeska Tire-Soldotna and Kenai, ASRC, Back Door Lounge, Espresso Barn, Great Bear Ford, Kenai Chrysler, Peninsula Clarion, River City Dental, Stewart Title of the Kenai Peninsula, Tyler Distributing Co., Waddell and Reed, Wells Fargo-Kenai and Soldotna, Era, HEA, Stan Stephens Cruise, Unocal and Veronica's.

And thanks to the volunteers: Lori Goodman, Amy Anderson, Katie Rogers, Amanda Feagin, Penny Furnish, Michelle Glaves and Casey Reynolds.

See you next year!
