40 Days campaign continues

North Star United Methodist Church in Nikiski continues with the 40 Days of Purpose Campaign. The center of the campaign is a book called "The Purpose Driven Life" by Rick Warren, senior pastor at one of the country's largest churches, Saddleback Church in Lake Forest, Calif. The campaign includes God's purposes for people to worship, fellowship, discipleship, ministry and evangelism, through a weekly message by the pastor, a personal or family daily devotional reading, a weekly message and a weekly small group lesson.

Drama troupe to meet

Kyds Tyme, a Christian musical drama troupe, will meet from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Mondays at St. Francis Episcopal Family Church of God in Kenai. For more information, call 283-1970.

Bible study group meeting slated

Nikiski Aglow meets at 9:30 a.m. Wednesdays at North Star Methodist Church. It is open to area women.

Clothing available

Clothes 2 Go is open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesdays in the basement of the Nikiski Inlet Faith Church. Items are 25 cents and up.

Addictions group meeting set

Reformers Unanimous will meet from 7 to 9 p.m. on Fridays at the Immanuel Baptist Church. For more information on either program, call 283-9361.

Day of prayer slated

The National Day of Prayer will be May 5. Area organizations and churches will host observances at the following locations and times: city of Kenai at noon at the flag pole at the Legislative Affairs Building, 145 Main Street; from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. at Peninsula Grace Brethren Church, 44175 Kalifornsky Beach Road, Soldotna; from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Church of God, 105 Redoubt Ave. in Soldotna; and from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Soldotna Bible Chapel, 300 W.
