Church of God begins soccer program

Kenai Church of God is forming a summer soccer program called "Soul Soccer." It is a soccer clinic and girls mentorship program. This is a community outreach event that will combine high level soccer training with life skills from a Christian perspective. Deadline for applications for the summer session is May 25. Soldotna Aglow studies 'Beautiful Mind'

Soldotna Aglow has started a new session, a Beth Moore DVD entitled "Beautiful Mind." All faiths welcome; safe, fun, and free child care provided every Wednesday at the Peninsula Christian Center (behind the Soldotna Salvation Army), 10 a.m. to noon, fellowship at 9:30. Free course on Bible Basics

Ever wonder what the Bible's really all about? Want to brush up on Bible history? Curious why there are so many different denominations and want to know the difference? Free weight loss and health support group

Christ Lutheran Church hosts a free weight loss and health support group Wednesdays 5:30 -- 7:30 p.m., at the church, Spur Highway, Soldotna. Clothes Quarters open weekly

Clolthes Quarters, at Our Lady of the Angels Church, 225 S. Spruce Street, Kenai, is open every Wednesday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., and he first Saturday of every month from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Call 283-4555 for more information.

Catholicism classes available

Classes for anyone interested in the Catholic Church will be held each Wednesday evening at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church. The classes are held in O'Neill Hall on Redoubt Avenue at 6:30 p.m. each week. Those attending will learn about the teaching of the Church based on the teachings of Jesus Christ to His disciples. This process is called the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults or RCIA. Anyone interested in seeking this way of life may call the Rectory to sign up at 262-4725.

Clothes ministry ongoing

The Clothes 4 U Ministry offers free clothing to benefit the community. The ministry is open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturdays at First Baptist Church Soldotna Mission House at 119 Little Ave. in Soldotna. Clothes 4 U accepts clothing donations only. For more information, call 260-4806.

Children's Church every Sunday evening
