Oilers Brief: Oilers land trio

Chris Mallory, Jordan Bourque and Alex Fuselier have signed with the Peninsula Oilers for the 2011 season, the club announced Wednesday.

Mallory, an infielder, is a junior at Fresno State University. The 5-foot-10, 210-pounder is hitting .273 in 25 games for the Bulldogs. Mallory was named the most valuable player of the California Collegiate League in 2010. He is from Lompoc, Calif.

Bourque also is a junior infielder. He attends the University of Louisiana at Lafayette and is hitting .238 in 40 games with two doubles and 16 RBIs.

Fuselier, a junior, is a left-handed outfielder and teammates with Bourque at ULL. At 6-0, 185 pounds, he is hitting .313 over 40 games with nine doubles, two triples and four home runs.
