Reader: Let’s be fair

Posted: Monday, April 30, 2007

Today the Supreme Court in their supreme indifference and testosterone, again cannot keep their hands off my womb.

So I say OK. Let’s be fair. You want my womb. Then I want rights on your gonads. This is how it is going to work.

A man can father three live births or turn 45 years of age, which ever comes first. He must then have a vasectomy.

This can be checked with a variety of methods. If he fails to get the required vasectomy, he pays a fine. If he cannot pay the fine at the time, he does community service until it is paid off. The fine will go to monitoring this plan and for education. It could be broken down by state.

Community service would benefit children, low-income housing and the needy in some way.

If the government continues to legislate my body, it is time to legislate theirs.

I am a 44-year-old woman. A Daughter of the American Revolution, the Civil War and one of the First Daughters of New Jersey and I am mad. I will not take this any more. I have personal liberties.

In the 1700s, children were not even named or baptized until they reached 2 years of age for fear of them dying. A fetus is a fetus. A breathing infant in the open air is a child. As Thomas Jefferson’s wife, Martha, wrote to him in a letter, that he ignored, she asked him not to forget the women in the Constitution. It would take until 1920 before we got the right to vote, and we still do not have equality.
