Denise Doreen 'Bianca' Eckhardt Caulkins

Denise Doreen "Bianca" Eckhardt Caulkins died Sunday, April 27, 2003, at her home in Palmer. She was 36.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 3, at Kehl's Palmer Mortuary, 209 S. Alaska St., Palmer. Pastor Dan Grisham will officiate.

Mrs. Caulkins was born April 25, 1967, in Delray Beach, Fla. She came to Alaska in 1993 and worked as a commercial fisher, as well as a full-time mom. She lived in both Ninilchik and Palmer.

"She was a loving wife, mother, sister and friend, a treasure to everyone who met her. She no doubt had a great impact on all whose paths she crossed. She will be greatly missed and always loved. We know that as she rests in peace, the angels will guide her home," her family said.

She is survived by her husband, Don Caulkins; eight children, Windy, Donny, Coral, Zabrina, Kenai, Jazmyn, Billy and Nicole; brothers, Arnold Eckhardt of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., Micah Eckhardt of Oceanside, Calif., and Liberty Knight of Anchorage; sisters, Sharee Eckhardt of Oceanside and Portland Jostrum of West Palm Beach, Fla.; and sister-in-law, Vicky Shatz of Palmer.

Arrangements were made by Kehl's Palmer Mortuary.
