Former Soldotna resident Kateri Ann Guidry Smith died Thursday, April 29, 2010 in Church Point, Lousiana. She was 51.
Funeral services are planned for 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 4 at Guidry Funeral Home in Church Point. A visitation is planned for Monday, May 3 at 11 a.m. Interment services will take place at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Mausoleum in Church Point. Father Gregory Chauvin will officiate.
Mrs. Smith was born on May 23, 1958 to Marion L. and Patty Guidry in Church Point. She married Ken Smith on March 23, 1997 in Church Point.
Mrs. Smith worked as a medical transcriber for Dr. Nels Anderson in Soldotna. She was involved with the American Cancer Society in Alaska
"Kateri was a beautiful woman inside and out. She had many devoted friends and loved her daughter and husband unconditionally. Her brothers and family were above all in her life. Her smile and laugh will be missed," her family said.
Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by her parents.
She is survived by her husband, Ken Smith and daughter Brandi Jo Guidry, of Church Point; brothers Shane Guidry and wife, Holly, of Washington, Marcus Guidry and wife, Lisa, of Soldotna; sister-in-law Cynthia Carrier of Church Point; and numerous nieces and nephews
Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
