Baseball team grateful for support

Posted: Monday, May 03, 2010

We would like to take this opportunity to say thank you for the support of the organizers and the community participation for the Soldotna High School Baseball Team 2010 DARE Lock-In fundraiser held at Soldotna High School.

The baseball program at SoHi is not funded by the KPB school district so we are required to seek donations and plan fund raising events to support our program.

The DARE Lock-In fund raising event has helped to provide the equipment, uniforms, umpire fees and travel expenses to facilitate and promote the player's athletic opportunities. We couldn't have made this event successful without the help of SPD DARE Officer Derek Urban, Coca Cola, Peninsula Oilers Baseball Club, Mr. Todd Syverson and the Soldotna High School staff, custodians and lifeguards, the fifth-grade DARE graduates who participated, their parents for entrusting their kids to us for 12 hours (and some parents for staying overnight!), the SoHi baseball team, their parents and all the chaperones.

Thank you all for your time in making this a successful fundraising event and for assisting us in our efforts to make this baseball season a success.
