Kenai Middle School

The school will collect minicourse fees and permission slips this week. All fees and permissions are due Thursday unless prior arrangements have been made. No refunds will be issued.

Congratulations to Dalton Chappell, Chris Coupchiak, Britney Loveland and Sierra Sorrels for winning the Character Counts drawing.

Yearbooks still are available.

The physical education Students of the Week are Devon Cowans, Dustin Tracy, Shawnee Hunter, Lindsey Leavitt, Christina Taylor, Tyler Spalding, Julie Brown, Andrew Supple, Rachel Estes, Anon Nammoon, Dedra Ming and Kenny Mayer.

Leadership is sponsoring a dance from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday. Sixth-graders are invited. Admission is $3.

Chyna Fisher placed third in interpretive reading, Ben Gilman placed second in humorous poetry, and Lincoln Wensley placed first in humorous prose.

Congratulations to Anthony Ming for winning the Kenai Watershed T-shirt design contest.

Thursday — Choir concert at KCHS at 7 p.m.

Friday — Borough track meet at Skyview

Saturday — Borough track meet at Skyview

May 10-12 — Sixth-grade camp
