Teacher Appreciation Week is this week. Special activities are planned to express appreciation for the outstanding teachers.
New student registration is from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily Monday through May 14. This registration is for new students not currently enrolled at the school who are planning to start school in the fall.
Copies of the school yearbook may be reserved for $15. Order forms are available at the school office. Yearbooks will arrive later this month.
The site council meets at 3:45 p.m. Wednesday in the conference room. Meetings are open to the public.
The staff will host a volunteer luncheon from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday.
The last day to check out books is Tuesday. All library books should be returned by May 12.
Title I services are being planned for the 2004-05 school year. For comments or suggestions, call Mrs. Hale or Miss Rosin at 262-9006.
Fourteen students will go fishing May 16 through the generosity of the Kenai River Professional Guide Association's "Take a Kid Fishing" program. KRPGA also will provide a barbecue and prizes for the kids. The winners were Seth Clyburn, Tiffany Maestas, Aubrie Thayer, Silas Rodriguez, Brittnie Thayer, Andrew Childers, Cole Tallman, T'essa Tovoli, Krystal Baer, Neeta Denison, Ashton Burdine, Derek Thomson, Katiebeth Hills and Jay Ulen.
Congratulate to the basketball champions: For the girls, it was the Rubber Chickens, and for the boys, Rattlin' Rims.
Congratulations also to the Guess the Staff Member winners, Miranda Arbach and Colton Schneider.
