Chun Rye Cho
Soldotna resident Chun Rye Cho died Saturday, April 30, 2005, from cancer at Central Peninsula General Hospital in Soldotna. She was 48.
Private family services will be held.
Mrs. Cho was born Feb. 16, 1957, in Seoul, South Korea, where she was raised and graduated from high school. She was a Korean chef for 25 years in Seoul. She moved to Fairbanks on March 13, 2002. She met her husband, James Frey, in Fairbanks and they were married in 2002. They lived in Fairbanks until 2003, when they moved to Soldotna. Mrs. Cho enjoyed fishing and cooking.
"Chun Rye Cho is loved and missed by all who knew her. She had a very giving and caring heart, she was the best mother and friend to all of her family. Chun had a wonderful smile and a spark for life! She will be deeply missed by all, may God bless and keep her," her family said.
Mrs. Cho is survived by her son, Jong Hun Park of Seoul; sisters, Chun Ok Cho of Seoul and Jo Sabala of Soldotna; brother, Chun Young Cho of Seoul; husband, James A. Frey of Soldotna; mother, Chung S. Cho of Soldotna; and father Chun Su Cho of Soldotna.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Mrs. Cho's memory to the Central Peninsula General Hospital, Infusion Center, 250 Hospital Place, Soldotna, AK 99669.
Arrangements were made by Peninsula Memorial Chapel in Kenai.
