Mulberry Street Trattoria executive chef/owner, Joseph Sullivan, as well as other top area chefs and family-owned businesses, participate in numerous fund-raising and community events throughout the year, among them the "Iron Chef Competition" part of the Historic Bluffton Arts and Seafood Festival. Sullivan entered a mouth-watering flounder over polenta dish in 2008 (top left and right) and from last year's event (lower left and right), a delightful triggerfish salad. (Just visible behind Sullivan, in orange cap, is veteran Mulberry Street Trattoria sous chef, Heather Juel). This year's Historic Bluffton Arts and Seafood Festival is planned for October 17-25, 2010, when chefs will be challenged to create two dishes (in one hour) using two unknown ingredients in seafood and non-seafood categories.
