Ann and Bob Haddox recently marked their 25th anniversary. They were married April 23, 1976.

The couple has lived in Sterling for more than 20 years.

Bob is employed with Cross Timbers Oil Co. in Kenai.

Ann has achieved a bachelor's degree in psychology and a master's of education in counseling. She now is working on finishing her elementary education degree.

The Haddoxes celebrated their anniversary at the Kenai Princess Lodge in Cooper Landing with their family April 23.

The anniversary cake was pale blue and yellow with white flowers and silver ribbons -- the colors from their wedding.

Their children include Kathy de Mello of Kenai, Allison C. Haddox of Anchorage, Dana L. Haddox of Sterling and James C. Haddox of North Carolina. Their grandchildren are Max and Jimmy.

"Our marriage in 1976 was a family celebration, and we feel it most appropriate to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary with our family -- our children," Ann said.
