Lifelong Nikiski resident Jacoby D. Angleton, 25, died Saturday, April 30, 2011, in Anchorage.
A memorial service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Soldotna Church of God in Soldotna. His father will also have a private service in June 2011.
Jacoby was born May 17, 1985, in Anchorage. He grew up and received his education in Nikiski, graduating in 2003 from Nikiski High School. He worked locally as a welder's apprentice in the oilfield.
Jacoby was a snowboarding enthusiast, snowmachining daredevil, enjoyed tricking out his truck and drawing tattoo art.
"While we are deeply saddened at the sudden loss of Jacoby, our beloved son, father, brother, grandson, nephew and friend, those in heaven are rejoicing as they rush to embrace him." his family said.
Jacoby is survived by his daughter, Kemma Kai Angleton; father and stepmother, Thomas C. and Celeste A. Angleton, all of Nikiski; mother and stepfather, Dena and Bob Ross, of Soldotna; brothers and sister-in-law, Jonus C. and Amy Angleton, of Soldotna, and Bronson G. Angleton, of Anchorage; grandparents, Fred V. and Vivien L. Angleton, of Soldotna, and Elsa Bronson, of Nome; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and nephews; and countless friends.
Arrangements were by Peninsula Memorial Chapel in Kenai.
