Man dies in airport construction accident

ANCHORAGE (AP) -- An Anchorage man died Sunday night in a construction accident at Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport.

The voctim had not been identified by Monday morning.

The accident happened as a crew was moving equipment. State project engineer Mike Gault, said the victim was part of a crew that was disassembling equipment at the airport construction site. He said the man was pinned between a large excavator and a small backhoe.

The Occupational Safety and Health Administration has been called to investigate.
