This week is Teacher Appreciation Week across America. The Tustumena PTO presented each employee with a small token of appreciation on Monday. On Tuesday morning, refreshments were the treat for the day, and today lunch will be provided. To culminate the week on Friday, each employee will receive a favorite dessert to take home to his or her family. The staff also was treated to a drawing each day in which one lucky person won prizes such as a car wash or dinner for two.
The kindergarten visitation for next year's incoming class is Thursday. Information was mailed to all preregistered families.
On Monday, Tustumena has scheduled a talent show for students in grades four through six. Parent volunteers in these classes will be honored immediately following the program. This event begins at 2 p.m. in the school gym.
Skyview students will visit Tustumena on Tuesday to presenting their annual health fair from 1 to 2 p.m. for students in grades four through six. Thanks to Nurse Betty for coordinating this learning experience for all students involved.
