In Christlight this week, the students are learning that the ascended Lord still guides his believers today just as he guided his followers to choose Mathias to replace Judas as one of the 12 apostles.

Congratulations to the kindergartners, who have mastered 52 phonograms and 120 spelling words.

In science, the kindergartners are making a "zoo" that will house the five different types of vertebrates. Their tube amphibians and reptiles are pretty neat.

The lower-grade classroom students are looking forward to a field trip Friday. While the fourth- through eighth-graders are participating in the Hershey Track and Field Competition, the lower-graders will tour the tower and terminal at the Kenai Municipal Airport, send a letter at the post office, visit the homeless critters at the Kenai Animal Shelter, lunch at McDonald's and visit the Kenai Fire and Police Departments.

The second-, third- and fourth-graders are in their last unit in their reading books. They're enjoying reading and discussing the stories about life in early America.

If you're looking for quality Christian education at an affordable price, give Mr. Dennis Leckwee a call at 283-9551.
