* The OLPH Relay for Life team will sponsor a garage sale fundraiser from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. May 16 at the Redemtorist Center (old Catholic Church) in Soldotna.

* The Kenai Little League will have a community garage sale fundraiser from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at the Kenai Little League fields.
Opening ceremonies will be at 10:30 a.m. May 16. Volunteers are needed to help with the barbecue.

The Soldotna Community Playground committee will host a fundraising picnic from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at Soldotna Creek Park. There will be hot dogs, hamburgers, a raffle and games for children ages 3 through 12. Funds raised will go toward building the new community playground. The event will happen rain or shine.

North Peninsula Recreation is accepting booth applications for the Family Fun in the Midnight Sun event. Nonprofit and for-profit organizations may have booths. Booths can range from food, carnival/game, political and informational to crafts and sales.
