Basement sale donations are being sought by the United Methodist Church of the New Covenant. Items for the May 21 - 22 sale may be brought to the side door of the building on Mondays between noon and 3. Supporters of the Wildwood Correctional Center's Christian ministry will hold a dinner event today at 7 p.m. at the Kenai Christian Church on the Kenai Spur Highway. The Alpha Course both in the community and in prison will be discussed as well as the proposed re-entry program at Wildwood. Speakers will include Paul Cowley, Jack Cowley and Dave DeShazar. Jo Chapman, international director of Kairos women's ministries will also speak about Kairos Outside, a weekend retreat to support women who have been impacted by family members being incarcerated.
Please bring anyone who is involved in prison ministry, would like to learn about prison ministry or would like to support those who are in prison ministry.
The dinner will be prepared and served by the Alaska Walk to Emmaus community, and a donation of $12 is suggested. Proceeds will be used to enable people to attend the Walk to Emmaus.

The Funny River Road Church of Christ on mile 1/4 will be hosting a gospel meeting with guest speaker Andy Alexander from Bowling Green, KY starting Sunday and running every weeknight through May 14. The Soldotna United Methodist Church at 158 S Binkley Street will host an ALPHA course. The course is about talking around a table in a non-threatening atmosphere where people can ask faith questions without fear of being challenged.
