Our public school system continues to be closely examined. Education experts and government leaders have suggested all kinds of ways to strengthen our education system. And at the forefront of implementing these ideas are our teachers. Our public school teachers are doing an outstanding job. They perform daily miracles in their classrooms, which most Americans take for granted. We have asked them to shoulder a major responsibility. We are considered to be among the best-educated citizens in the world and for that we have our teachers to thank. This week has been set aside, nationally, in order to do just that: thank our teachers.
Tustumena Elementary School Parent Teacher Organization would like to proudly thank the following teachers: Gail Knobf, Terri Cowart, Judy Klunder, Dave Michael, Chris Cowans, Sharon Hopkins, Shellie Worsfold, Mike Chase, Jennifer Haddix and Katie Blossom. These dedicated classroom teachers are our children's mentors, and they do a wonderful job inspiring our children to learn and helping them to develop to their full potential.
There also is a terrific support staff at our school, including Pauline Mills, Joy Jones, Gail Moore, Colleen Sinnott, Fran Stetson, Eric Viste, Lisa Gossett, Carol VanDerwege, Elizabeth DeVolld, Tammy Clancy, Pauline Hanson, Betty Miller, Boyuk Dotomain, Danielle Thompson, Bob Engelke, Barbara McNinch, Tammy Dudley, Darrel Williams, Rusty Miller and Trudy Davis. All of these professionals contribute to creating a safe and quality learning environment for our children at Tustumena Elementary.
At the helm is our principal, Ken Halverson, who through diligence and dedication has been successful in managing this school in the best interest of the children in our community.
Many thanks to all of you,
Sheila Garrant, Judy Johnson,
Debbie Pearson and Pam Skulstad
