Couple grateful for guidance

In June of 1988, Dean Nichols moved his wife, Mary and their growing family from Houston to become our pastor.

He painstakingly established a high standard of obedience and devotion to our Lord Jesus Christ. Diligently he taught us to follow God’s word fully, and to live the abundant life in Christ.

“I loved you enough to tell you the truth,” he always said.

He faithfully demonstrated godly principles for marriage, child rearing and how to have a personal relationship with Christ.

After 18 years of dedicated service as the pastor of the First Baptist Church of Kenai, Alaska’s representative on the executive board of the Southern Baptist Convention and chaplain for the Kenai Police Department, Dean has accepted an honorable position as director of family ministries at Southwestern Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas, where the family will soon reside.
