Victim in airport construction accident identified

ANCHORAGE (AP) -- Authorities have identified the victim of a construction accident at Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport Sunday as Reynaldo Arenas, 41.

Arenas was part of a crew taking an excavator apart when he got pinned between a large excavator and a small backhoe while one of them was being moved, according to the Department of Transportation and Public Facilities.

The state medical examiner said Arenas died of massive head injuries. The Occupational Safety and Health Administration has been called to investigate.
