RCAC committee meets today

The Cook Inlet Regional Citizens Advisory Council's Environmental Monitoring Committee will meet today at the RCAC office in Kenai at 10 a.m. The public is welcome to attend. For more information, call 283-7222.

Annual fly-in Saturday

The Kenai Peninsula Chapter of the Experimental Aircraft Association is hosting a pancake breakfast at its annual fly-in Saturday from 8 a.m. to noon at the McGahan Airstrip in Nikiski. Drive in or fly in, just follow the signs.

Potters Guild sale Saturday

The Kenai Potters Guild members will sell clay works at the pottery studio at the Kenai Fine Arts Center on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Earnings will go towards the Kenai Clay Exhibition and for studio equipment.

Strawberry Social Saturday

The Soldotna Senior Center and the Kenai Peninsula Special Olympics will hold its fifth annual Strawberry Social fund-raiser on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the senior center at 197 Park Avenue. Pioneers meet Monday

KMS seeks votes on school mascot

Kenai Middle School has gone through the nomination process to change its school mascot, and voting is open to the community until May 15. The four mascot choices are: the current one, the Kossacks and the Kougars, Koyotes and Kings.
