FAIRBANKS (AP) -- A 26-year-old Fairbanks man was charged Tuesday with two counts of sexual abuse of a minor and two counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

Chad E. Nelson was charged with abusing a 15-year-old girl and a 16-year-old girl on April 20. The younger girl was living in Nelson's home.

According to charging documents, Nelson and the two girls drank alcohol at Nelson's home on the day of the offense.

Trooper Investigator Eric Olsen said the accusations surfaced when troopers received a report of abuse from a family member May 6.

Nelson is being held at Fairbanks Correctional Center on $25,000 bail.
