Summer music festival announced

The Seldovia Arts Council will hold the Seldovia Summer Solstice Folk Music Festival scheduled June 21 and 22. Headlining this year's festival are Muriel Anderson, national acoustic finger-picking champion; and Dave Carter and Tracy Grammer, members of the National Folk Alliance who will open for the Joan Baez 2002 concert tour.

Rounding out the festival program are performances by Alaska singer-songwriter-guitarists Robin Hopper and Mike Campbell. The festival performances begin each evening at 7:30. During the day June 22, festival participants can enjoy dance and music workshops and a craft fair featuring local artists.

Tickets for the festival are $25 and will be available in advance from the Seldovia Arts Council and various area businesses.
