Girl Scouts feasted on banquet’s success

Central Peninsula Girl Scouts Leader Appreciation Banquet was a wonderful success. We would like to thank the following people and organizations for supporting this event: Mark Claypool and the Challenger Learning Center, what a wonderful facility; Gary Hanley and Alaska Christian College Catering, the meal was fabulous; Jane Straight, executive director of the Girl Scout Susitna Council and everyone else at the council who helped with labels, certificates, recognitions, etc.; Donna Peterson, superintendent of the Kenai Peninsula Borough School District, for her inspirational speech; David Henson, Mariah Henson, Eric Soderquist and Tony Micah, for all their help in making the slide show a wonderful presentation piece; Joyce Cox, Racheal Wilhelm and Jodie Titus, for helping with set up and cleanup; Troop 221 for making the lovely table centerpieces; and a huge thanks to everyone who bought tickets either as a donation or to attend the event — Racheal Wilhelm, Annyce and Dave Henson Sr., Crista Hippchen and friend, Margaret Martin, Loretta Bixby, Karen Ruebsamen, Connie Hocker, Kelly Greibel, Diana Tice, Teresa Wendel, Joyce Cox; and especially to Donna Peterson for her very generous donation.
